Harris Golf Club

" a jewel of a links set in the breathtaking beauty of the Hebridean island of Harris"

Scarista, on the west coast of the magical Island of Harris, is surely one of the world's finest settings for the game of golf. To the west, the Atlantic breakers thunder onto sparkling white sands. To the north lie the spectacular mountains of North Harris. To the south, the hills of the Uists lie beyond Toe Head peninsula.

Nick Faldo once described it as one of the most beautiful settings in golf . A £5 note left by Nick Faldo for his round of golf is now framed and adorning the clubhouse wall, it is played for every year as part of a competition.

Tom Watson and Sean Connery have been rumoured to have nipped out for a few holes, as have a few others.

The beautiful Scarista beach, once famously described as making the Malibu beach "look like a school sandpit", runs alongside the course providing the most beautiful of settings.
